Tomorrow we remember the brave men that went to Korea in 1950 to protect the world from the threat of communism. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Battle of the Chosin Reservior. It was a brutal 13 day battle against the weather and a determined foe with 2 to 1 odds.
There have been many books written about the Korean War. many stories tell of the bravery and the spirit of these men who fought in such brutal conditions to overcome a very bad situation.
Some in our country have called the Korean War "the forgotten war". I have not forgotten. I will never forget. My thanks goes out to those brave men for their service to our country and for their efforts to eliminate the world of communism. Last weekend North Korea fired artillery on the South Koreans killing two South Korean Marines. With this anniversary fresh in our minds It amazes me that the communists would attempt to provoke South Korea and indirectly the United States.
So remember the men and women serving abroad today and remember the Korean War, we may just have another before too long.
