Tom Bosley, Happy Days Dad, dead, 83, cancer

Tom Bosley, who as 1950s Happy Days dad Howard Cunningham was the leading TV dad of the 1970s, died today after what his family termed a "brief battle" with lung cancer. He was 83.

This was a huge part of my life growing up. I thought the 1950s was the coolest time in history. I still imagine what life might be like today if we had more of that era in our lives. Manners, rules, great cars, great music, great economy....the good old days. And this actor helped bring that to us.
