Al Gore, III arrested in San Diego

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - Al Gore's son was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs after deputies pulled him over for speeding, authorities said. Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over at about 2:15 a.m., Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.
That's an impressive list of pharmaceuticals. But the big news on this story is a freakin' Prius will do 100mph? How big is the carbon footprint of a Prius going 100mph?

It's really kinda lame that Al Gore is seen as the poster child of global warming. The dude is just a bandwagoner who wanted to grandstand for whatever political reasons and had the cash to do it. It's too bad environmentalists like David Suzuki don't get more press because guys like him practice what they preach. Instead, people disinclined to accept the possibility that increased global warming may be due, at least partially, to human activity just rag on Gore who makes a bad representative for pushing towards sustainable and responsible living.

What's even sadder may be that they are have a concert thingy this weekend for global awareness, raising money to buy something...and I wouldn't even have known about the concert if Al junior didn't get arrested.
